Who we are

Banana Man Tracker is an iOS app published by Shewa, LLC (shewa.co). It is a local fan-fun map for Banana Man sightings in and around Linton, Indiana. It is not for tracking people.

Information we collect

• Account. When you sign up we collect your email address and the username you choose. We use these to create and manage your account, moderate signups, and contact you about your account or safety issues.
• Location for sightings. When you report a Banana Man sighting, we store the location you submit with that sighting (coordinates and any note you add), plus your username. Location is used only to show sightings on the map and age them off over time. We do not continuously track your device location in the background for advertising or profiling.
• Peels and badges. Optional in-app activity such as QR peel scans and confirmation actions may earn peels (in-app points) and banana-pun badges. These are game features only. Peels and badges have no cash value and are not redeemable for money, prizes, or goods unless we clearly say otherwise in the app.
• Help and feedback. If you send a report, question, or sponsorship inquiry from Help, we receive the message content and your account details so we can respond.

Local business icons and advertising

The map may show landmark or sponsor icons for local businesses. Sponsored placement is advertising related to those map icons and any short about text the sponsor provides. It is not personalized ad targeting based on your profile or precise location history.

In-app purchases

Banana Man Tracker does not currently offer Apple In-App Purchases. If we add paid features later (for example sponsor tools), Apple will process payment and we will update this policy.

Analytics and third parties

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs to track you across apps. The app uses Apple MapKit to display the map. Our servers (hosted on Cloudflare) store account and sighting data needed to run the service. Standard server logs may include IP address and basic request metadata for security and reliability.

How we use and share data

We use the data above to operate the app, show public sightings, moderate accounts, respond to support, and improve reliability. Sightings you post (username, note, and location of the sighting) are visible to other users of the app. We do not sell your personal information. We may share data if required by law or to protect safety.

Retention and deletion

Sightings age off the map after a short period. Account data is kept while your account is active. To request account deletion or a copy of your data, email us at the address below.

Children

Banana Man Tracker is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13.
